Artist: Igor Vladimirovich Sidorin (1947–2000) was a Russian artist and a prominent representative of nonconformist art, working in the directions of expressionism and abstract expressionism. In his work, he combined the principles of tachisme ("gesture painting") and the late Soviet avant-garde, creating a recognizable signature style distinguished by its swiftness, virtuoso technique, and bold use of a wide variety of materials. Igor Sidorin was one of the founders and an active member of the creative association "Krugovaya Poruka," which played a significant role in the development of unofficial Russian art in the 1980s.
